3 already!

Happy 3rd Birthday John Paul Reyes IV!

I can't believe how time flies by with kids! I remember being a kid and it just seemed like everything took forever to come around, like Birthday, Christmas, Spring Break, Summer you name it, if it was a fun event to took forever and now as a parent it just comes to fast for me!

JP what can I say, you are an amazing son and your dad and I feel so blessed and honored that our Savior gave us you! You crack us up everyday of our lives!

Things that you are doing now that you are 3:

1. You insist that we go to Church every Sunday


2. Potty Trained- yes I am so excited about this!


3. You are wearing size 3t


4. Weigh in around 32 pounds


5. Your favorite foods are pizza and hot dogs!


6. You love taking baths with your sister, even though you upset her when you splash too much water at times


7. Your 2 favorite saying right now is.... "In a little bit" and "Your the BEST Ever!"


8. You still love Car and Thomas the Train


9. You love going to baseball games and throwing the ball


10. You are ready for football already


11. You are a ninja at times and sneak into our bed around 5:30-6am on some mornings

My favorite thing to tell you is "JP I love you to the moon and back!" and you finish it by saying "and the Stars" and you are so right! I do love you to the moon and back and the stars! Your favorite thing to tell daddy is " I love you more more more!"

This year for your party we had to have a Thomas the Train theme, after all that is what you have been telling me since about Christmas that is what you wanted on your cake!!! Your party was Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 11-1pm at Hogan Park in Midland, Texas! And yes of course you had a Thomas the Train cake!

Your dad and PePaw made the train for you party and you just loved it and wouldn't get out, until I told you that you could have cake and open presents!!!!

Taylor from church and from your "school" came to your party and ya'll had a blast playing together!
Grace was your first girlfriend you had and she too came to your party and played and played with you! She is about one of the few friends you know that has as much energy as you do! And her mommy and I are thankful for that!
Sweet Ella Grace, how I was so afraid you were sunburned and was so excited to see you on Sunday and see that you were not! Ella had so much fun at the playground that I think she missed cake and present, but I am just glad she was having a blast!

TRAIN time:
This is the picture of you and your Cousin Anderson the first time you saw your PePaw coming with your train!!!! You kept saying is that my train, that train is for me? My train PePaw mine? Yes JP that is your very own TRAIN!

Anderson last about 3 seconds in the train before he screamed to get out :( but trust me JP you never cried one bit!

You and Cousin Campbell, I think your face is sad because you are afraid I was going to make you get out and you were not ready, so don't worry I did not make you get out yet!
Choo Choo! You just hanging out in the Rock Island Train Car. The reason you had a Rock Island train is because your Great Great Grandfather worked for Rock Island a long time again your your Grandpa is the one that got you loving Trains! So this train is in honor of your Great Great Grandfather, Great Grandfather (who also loved trained) and your Grandpa!! Now you are part of that group that loves trains!

Thank you to everyone who came out to help celebrate JP turning 3! How I can't believe that this day has arrived! As I sit here typing all this the day before his birthday, I think back to what I was doing the day before his birth and I was on a long walk with John and then came home to clean house! I remember telling John that I think JP will be here tomorrow as I had that burst of energy to do so much! Needless to say I was correct when my back labor started at 3:30 am and true labor pains started straight up 6:00 am!!!!

JP I can't wait to spend many more birthday's with you! Thank you for being you!

Best Weekend Ever

This past weekend had to be one of the best weekend EVER!!!! This saying has become JP's favorite thing to say!!!!

We got to hang out with my mom's dog Bailey while she was out of town. JP and Corley just love her and sometimes a little TOO much if you know what I mean!!!Time in the sun is the best for us all!

She is just studying those steps before she goes down!!!!!

Time for Corley's first ice cream cone. I was wondering how much she would just eat with her hands!!! Of course she surprises me as she ate it like she was big girl as if she had been eating ice cream cones for years!!!!!! Now really where did my baby go and when did my Big Girl arrive.

Of course brother had his as well and loved ever bit!

What a great way to spend mother's day!!!! We spent the afternoon with my mom and dad and went to the RockHounds Game!!!! Of course we had to have ice cream in the baseball hat!

JP and Grandpa had to get new hats!!!! Guess when they go to every home game on Monday nights he should have a hat!

Mom and I got a rose for mother's day when we arrived and of course Miss Corley thinks it something for her to play with!

After the game we thought it would be fun for the kids to run through the sprinkler's!!!!

Corley was not sure what to think, so brother is giving her a push....she was really thinking I just want to stand here and watch!

Now she is clapping for her brother.....

Ok Mom! I am wet and cold....just hold me!

What a perfect what to spend a mother's day!!!! This is truly what it is all about!!!! I love being a mom even when times are tough!! I am so thankful for my two little blessings of life!

What a great Easter the Reyes family had!!!! We started our day off with Church with my parents and surprised them! They were so excited to see us at church that it probably made their day!

Grammy had found Corley's her dress at Dillard's and got her bow for her at Stanton Trade Days and I know I think she looks ADORABLE, but you know she does too! LOL

They had 3 Easter Egg hunts today, so we got them ready for their first one at my parents church. JP kept up and probably did better than some of the older kids! He loved it. The best part was is that Corley figured out that the eggs had candy in them. Once she learned that she was done and all she wanted was the CANDY! She just cracks me up!

So I tried to get JP to join us in the family picture but he did not want to join......

he noticed we were taking pictures. Still not a great family picture, but this is what I get for 2 kids that are 20 months apart! I should be happy that someone is looking at the camera, oh wait that would be me!

Second Easter Egg Hunt of the day was with MeMaw and PePAw. PePaw took her one her hunt so that I could take pictures.

She found all the suckers and would not turn lose of them! Yes count them....3

JP was smart, all the kids went one way were most of the candy was just laying out, he went the other way where there was the eggs and got lots more candy....can you say they are going to be on a sugar high. Must give out slowly, over a period of a long time, that's if John and I don't eat it all first.

3rd hunt at Grammy and Grandpa's! This time mommy and daddy got to help and Grammy took the pictures !!!

Just had to take these next two of JP. We went outside to swing and he ran behind the tree and it looked like it would be a fun picture!

I am loving the weather (well when its not blowing 50 mph) so we enjoy going outside when we get a chance. JP wanted to water so we let him, needless to say I was being chased around the yard by him! We had lots of laughs and had a blast, that's what its all about!

So I finally was able to get Corley to sit still. Well with the help of her in her highchair while eating breakfast!!!! I just loved the way she looked once I put the bow in her hair!!! I could wait to get finish with church to pick her up the her room!!!!

Friday nights

Welcome April! I have been ready for you to come and the wind to go!!!!! We were able to enjoy our Friday night outside for a little while! Corley was finally able to have the fun that JP has been able to have for a few years. The both now love running through the Williow Tree and grabbing onto the danling branches! I feel that I have a new son, he went and got his haircut and the lady that did it has always cut it so I don't know what happen. He went with daddy, so maybe daddy said something about a buzz cut, but anyways, its a lot shorter than I like, but he does look handsome and almost like young Matt Damon! What do all of you think, young Matt Damon or not? Of course he had to take his favorite toy outside to ride!
